In response to the accelerating pace of technological change and the increasing importance of cyber operations, Air Force Chief Information Officer Lt. Gen. Bill Lord said Thursday the branch will update training processes for the expanse of Air Force personnel.

Amber Corrin wrote in a Federal Computer Week report Monday that Lord announced the Air Force Space Command is developing a new “core function master plan” that will contain five-to-10 years of orders aimed at supporting mission needs of combatant commanders.

Lord told an audience at AFCEA IT Day that the plan deals with the reality that civilian employees and airmen are facing new combat realities in cyber space.
