U.S. Air Force Awards $2.2 Million Contract for Equipping All of Its Tactical Deployable Communications Servers With AtHoc’s Emergency Mass Notification System

SAN MATEO, CA, Feb 22, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — AtHoc, Inc. ( ), the pioneer and leader in providing network-centric emergency mass notification systems to military, government, healthcare, higher education and commercial organizations, today announced it will be equipping the U.S. Air Force’s Theatre Deployable Communications (TDC) ground-to-ground kits with AtHoc IWSAlerts(TM) emergency mass notification system (EMNS). Under a $2.2 million prime contract awarded to Harris, AtHoc EMNS combined with Air Force TDC will deliver rapid bi-directional communications to meet force protection and personnel accountability requirements during deployed military contingencies and missions.

AtHoc is meeting TDC requirements to provide the latest commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions that can be rapidly delivered anywhere in the world, while reducing airlift and manpower requirements. Communications are available when needed in the field via TDC kits, Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet).
