A problem with a data storage system has knocked the Defense Information Systems Agency’s website offline at least since since Nov. 12, in a failure that has also taken some internal services with it.
As of the morning of Nov. 17, DISA’s website was still displaying a message saying the site was temporarily unavailable.
Federal News Radio reported that DISA attributed the failure to a data storage system in one of its 14 Defense Enterprise Computing Centers and said it also affected some services DISA provides to the Defense Department, including training, time and attendance, and file sharing.
DISA restored internal services during the first day after the crash, Fierce Government IT reported, though the website remained unavailable.
